SOAPIE COOKBOOK! Suidooster-kombuis delves deep into the scrumptious food of local soapie, Suidooster

It's not every day you get the chance to try your favourite soapie's delectable dishes. Cape Town based soapie Suidooster has delivered punch after punch with great gripping storylines, and now they’re doing it again with their very own Suidooster-kombuis cookbook. It’s pack to the rafters with great dishes, as viewers see in the soapie, and what I like most about this cookbook, is there are so many stories with each recipe. It just adds that personal touch that made Suidooster such a huge success. In Suidooster-kombuis, Mrs J, Mymoena and Stefan show us what's cooking in their kitchens. A treasure chest of delectable and nostalgic recipes – from Mrs J's famous tamatiebredie, milk tart and vetkoek to Stefan's mouth-watering pizzas with unique toppings and trimmings. Then there is Mymoena’s dishes from her popular food channel Hallie Happies while she also shares her special koesisters and roti techniques. A must for all the Suidooster fans. My favourites are the Cape Malay dishes, and the tripe, oh, and not forgetting the sweet potato pudding and the curry tripe! A definite must have for fans, and a great idea for a Christmas present.
